Department Information:
FUNCTION: To provide legal representation for the City, its officers, employees and various Boards and Commissions, and is responsible for Court and Administrative representation, issuing legal opinion and advice, reviewing contracts, preparing City ordinances and other legal documents. Risk Management function for the City falls under this department.
SERVICES PROVIDED:
* Representation of the City in all court matters exclusive of tax appeals and related matters;
* Gives advice to the various departments and agencies of the City of Bridgeport unless specifically prohibited or otherwise provided.
